What. A. Masterpiece. This isn't the kind of story you casually binge. There were moments where I genuinely had to stop reading because the bullying was so brutal and disturbing. It wasn't just heartbreaking—it made me wonder how people can actually treat another human being like that. The writing doesn't hold back, and that's exactly what makes it so powerful. Thankfully, the ending was satisfying. After everything these characters went through, they deserved that much... although I'm still greedy and want a bunch of side stories of the brothers finally living a peaceful, happy life. One thing's for sure: I'm definitely reading more of this author's work. If this is the quality of their storytelling, count me in. My only tiny complaint comes from my chronic overthinking. I kept wondering, "Wait... how was the younger brother (I completely forgot his name ) able to enroll in school, buy things, and manage everything after both of hus parents died?" Maybe I missed an explanation, or maybe it's just a small plot hole.
Either way, it didn't take away from the experience.
This story broke my heart, put it back together, then broke it again. Absolutely worth reading if you're ready for something heavy. ♡
