I’m sorry I have genuinely enjoyed this story because it somehow avoided getting too cliche despite the set up, but the depiction of the mother is so boring and generic. Yeah of course the dad had to be the one that left to be happy with another man lmao. Sigh I really liked S1 but the side story showing this contrived family situation and how his “type” was actually just “we actually met as kids!” is so cliche. Still looking forward to S2 and hoping this isn’t a sign for more soap opera drama
