He assumes that he already knows the truth, and he's just punishing her mercilessly. For a soldier, he is completely emotionally blinded. I know that eventually they will probably reconcile. He'll probably save her at the last minute when she's going to be killed. And I just wish she would leave him after that. That's infuriating like I don't think I would be able to come back from that.
