He doesn't understand emotions, he just knows how to manipulate them
I think it's due to him having Alexithymia. His thoughts and actions come out odd but it's because he doesn't understands emotions and can't pick up social cues. All he can do is mimic others. So him manipulating is just him mimicking what he saw before and recognizing it got the answers that was needed in whatever situation was going on at that time or around him.
grayson is rlly odd, he acts like a clueless idiot one scene, then the next he's subtly manipulating others so he can do what he wants. It's fun honestly, I love emotional torture ( ⓛ ω ⓛ *)
