Honestly, I don't see the point of making arbitrary changes. The author of the novel intended for it to end that way.
Bc people likes to complain about everything and can't deal with the frustration of the story not being like they pretend ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
The novel is so awful and has such a terrible ending that they're clearly trying to give it a happy ending here. There's no second pregnancy and no redemption for anyone.
