this is such a great analysis on their relationship, the characters are written so complex that makes it a beautiful story, even the trope is uncommon, it’s not like the other stereotypical bls where you could immediately predict the storyline, the creativity and originality of this story is what draws me in.
It's interesting, both men are deeply flawed, have physiological issues even before meeting each other, if anything after meeting, they became their most raw real selves, they both crave absolute control over their environment to feel safe, Nanjo achieves control through rigid societal compliance and acting like a moral savior and Mok-yeon achieves control through physical presence and breaking boundaries, so when they collide, these two different methods of control cancel each other out, leaving only raw, unfiltered lust and a dangerous possessiveness, it's almost like they recognize their own darkness in the other person, creating a toxic feedback loop of mutual attraction. If they choose to change, their high emotional intelligence could actually save them. If Mok-yeon learns to trust that Nanjo won't abandon him, and if Nanjo accepts his true desires without shame, their intense possessiveness could evolve into an unbreakable, fiercely protective devotion. They would become an exclusive unit against a world that failed them both, but if they refuse to confront their traumas, their relationship will remain a psychological battlefield. Mok-yeon will continue to use self-destruction and desperation as a tether, while Nanjo will swing violently between passionate submission and cold, furious rejection. They will stay together, but only to slowly tear each other apart piece by piece.
They are a perfect example of a narrative where love isn't gentle or sweet; it is a violent, chemical reaction between two broken people who finally found someone strong enough to match their intensity.
