also im pretty sure the hallucination of takatsuki lashing out at komura and telling her how gross she is and how she never loved her back was komura's own thoughts about her desire for takatsuki taking form. she knew takatsuki didnt love her back, so she thought that obviously takatsuki would be disgusted by her if she knew she was in love with her. that part was also so incredibly relatable like omg. im obsessed with this author now
ive never seen a manga capture the lesbian experience (at least mine) this closely. it always hurts to realize that the woman you love just wont see you that way, ever. and even if you part ways with her, life continues to go on. you may never see her again, you can hate her, while still loving her, and you'll never really stop thinking about her and probably never forget her, but you still have to continue living as usual as if she didnt mean everything to you. it hurts, and often there is no one you can tell. there's no satisfying or happy ending at all. life just goes on.
