I dont get why people want alfa x beta so much. It literally dont do anything? I also dont fav this „turning omega becouse one magic pill” screatch of plot but with beta thats just every regular romance, no need for being omegaverse at all

THIS! I don't really understand the point of an omegaverse if it's not alpha/omega with pregnancy possibilities; anything else is pretty much just regular sex with hormones. And the whole "random change" is so annoying--but then again, most "I became an alpha/omega" stuff is rather hastily written anyway. At least the whole "exposed to your pheromones" is the least terrible.

I am pretty content with alpha x alpha too (alphas can get pregnant as well in some versions). Also love top woman alpha x bottom man omega (these are extra rare)

I haven't read an alpha/alpha where an alpha can get pregnant unless he became an omega. And I'm not into women, so fem alpha/male omega aren't things I really read, but I have come across some, ie "I'm engaged to my omega teacher."

Cause people are obsessed with pretending that alpha x beta somehow subverts the “problematic” ABO tropes. Same thing with Alpha x Alpha. All of these stories still do the same shit but remove any reason to showcase the selling point of the genre: pheromones and pregnancy. I personally don’t see the point in it.

Yeah, and the thing about it is that most omegaverses don't bother diving into the societal aspect of it, so it's rather regular without the pregnancy. If it's an alpha/alpha or an alpha/beta or omega/beta or omega/omega, there's no real need for any of this. I can only think of a small handful that kinda dive into it. One really dives into it, but it's more from a nihilistic, depressing POV since that's the author's style.
