Yes, if Chani genuinely didn't care about Seokjun he wouldn't have dressed up or asked Seokjun to go on a date with him. Chani didn't directly say a "date" because Seokjun is a guy and it's gay to ask a man on a date but he did it? If he didn't love Seokjun in that way Chani wouldnt have asked him out.
