You’re right it makes no sense and now I have to move up the novel on my tbr…. Right after Winterfield lol
I just realized that Soleum would be a judged as a very good child by the blue dragon because he was technically born a couple weeks ago.
The blue dragon has an ability for distinction based on one’s past actions. (maybe like a sort of dirt aura for the bad?)Soleum would be pure as snow as he hasn’t lived very long, therefore he’s a “very good child”.
And also he’s viewed more favorably cuz he’s made of a dragon part among other things…. Which is why he also gets these gifts too that are viewed as excessive maybe he’s also seen as a baby like literally as in part of the family? All you want to do is help a younger family member succeed right?
If you haven’t read the novel this might not make total sense.
