Helene is still under the impression that Wilhelmina is faking her kindness so that she can lower everyone's guard. With her growing up in the imperial palace, it's likely that's she can't see past the walls she's only barely allowed her family to exist within.
Im only around chapter 39 but Helene piss me off so much. Like- its not even Wilhelmina's fault that she ended up in her position nor does she ever asked for it. Why is she feeling so threatened??? Fl even clarified she'd rather stay out of the household politics too
