Yeah it feels like he had a love at first sight moment. Varia is at the moment more interested in spending time with, and getting to know Leo. She's more fond of Leo since Leo is just much more sociable, and gives the adults around her the feeling of being with a friend, so shes more comfortable and fun to be around.
Sorry guys, but for some reason, I don't feel any romantic chemistry between Phileo and Varia when they're on screen together. I really don't know. I don't hate Varia. I like her but yeah, no romantic chemistry for me.
