i would've been okay with the romance if it wasn't so forced - like the mc really dgaf, is focused on making food and taking care of his daughter.
it would've been really cute/funny if they kept up him being dense until he naturally gets it but instead they had to ruin a pretty okay character to be an annoying romantic partner who only cares about their idea of love and not the person they are in love with.
