So, I as glad that Danrim was addressing Mok’s traumatic past and explaining his behavior. But, I know, this is fiction, but I’ve been in a situation where the guy tried to kill himself in front of me so i wouldn’t leave him. And I thought Danrim was the type of author who would play with dark elements but not like this. I thought she would make Nanjo realize that he might have been too extreme and harsh in his decision. Or even make him go back to beg Sunhwa and then Sunhwa shutting him off so he would see Mok was telling the truth this whole time. But instead, no it feels like they will get back together just out of pity. That Nanjo somehow will feel guilty about Mok ending up in a hospital and stay with him out of concern, out of obligation, rather than bc they like or love each other. And I didn’t want this couple to end up together out of obligation or duty. Even Stockholm Syndrome is more interesting than that But it’s still not over. So, I still have hope. I will trust Danrim one more time. But I sure didn’t like the turn this story took.
