I'm not sure if its the translation making the story kinda awkward sounding but I like it so far, except that I can't get over the inaccurate description and depiction of DID. DID is when a child suffers such severe abuse that their consciousness splits and their brain creates multiple personalities to protect the main personality. These personalities are often created from a specific thing the main personality needs protection from. So far we have found that while someone who has DID can form new personalities but you can only develope it in the first place as a child. It's an extreme response to extreme abuse. The new personalities are often formed based off images the individual has and what they need that personality to do. An example is a woman, a friend of a family member of mine, who got in a car accident that induced a really bad panic attack (she already had multiple personalities) developed a personality that was a Latin woman that had no fear behind the wheel and took no shit because that's what made the most sense to her brain (people don't pick their personalities, the brain forms them based off of what would make the main personality feel safest taking biases and beliefs into account). Another would be of a young girl who developed a personality of an older boy that would be strong enough to stand up to those who physically hurt her. The main personality often doesn't have the memories of the others because they are meant to shield the main one from moments that are too painful to handle and usually only come out when they need to (though the other personalities can remain in control after the moment). Usually the other personalities have some knowledge of the others and there can be one in charge who's supposed to manage the protection of the main one. Sexuality doesn't have to do with personality While I'm not sure if the different personalities could be attracted to different types I felt like the implication in the comic was that sexuality had to do with personality which isn't true. I know this is a comic with a very stereotypical depiction of homosexuality. This is just something in particular I care about. I feel like the author could've just done Jekyll and Hyde. "This traumatic incident lead me to want to separate my memories but resulted in me having 2 personalities after I did/was involved in some experiment". They wouldn't need to go too hard into sci-fi or supernatural to do it. Well that's my TED Talk
