The most icky about the seme is that he knows about the author already (the one sending the letters), deliberately be his editor and pressuring him to write adult content at a pretense of "rebranding" and use that to this advantage. Now looking back at it again it's fucking disgusting.
I myself enjoy dark themes/psychological but the way this author make it seem cute and wholesome is very telling...
