i’m pretty sure she’s bulimic but yeah idk about this. i’ve definitely had days where id b/p but ive also had days where id eat like normal, like at the end of the day its a mental disorder that manifests differently in everyone. sure, there will be some similarities across cases but most develop their own little quirks and stipulations.

i do get what you mean about food being on ur mind 24/7, but in a weird-ish way? but for the most part ive been able to relate to some of her struggles or more so the constant mental battle that comes with having a eating disorder.

I don't want to speak on this as a person who has never experienced EDs or seen someone who has, but I think the symptoms of her condition fits anorexia more since she doesn't eat much throughout the story in general rather than binge-eating and throwing up.

That said, like mentioned, it's fictional so the portrayal of the mental disorder may not be fully accurate and at the same time, not everyone shares the same severity of symptoms for any disorder. Aside from that, I think they took some liberties concerning it, since there's a limit you can portray a serious illness without throwing off readers. Still, I don't think it was done poorly in this.

Yeah I understand but what I meant was that ed isn’t something that can be simply mentioned as character trait, when u have ed food is all u can think about, it becomes the thing your life revolves around. I have been trying so hard to recover and I dont think I will live through this lol. I hope it has gotten better for you and I really hope you stay strong through the tough times and dont give up on ur recovery journey

I understand but as someone on the far critical edge of this disorder barely surviving, it triggered me when it was simply mentioned without its severity and its impact shown affecting her. But yeah ur right it would throw anyone off and most are not comfortable with ed even being mentioned
