Idk but as someone with ed, I was quite shocked to see it being mentioned but yeah wasn’t surprised when it was misrepresented. Anorexia doesn’t work this way, you don’t just eat and purge all the time, and food is basically on your mind 24/7 in a much more complicated way than what was portrayed. But yeah, I get that it’s fiction.
Still, if a mental disorder has to be used as a character trope, anorexia really should be one of the last one to choose because it’s so commonly misunderstood and misrepresented.
i’m pretty sure she’s bulimic but yeah idk about this. i’ve definitely had days where id b/p but ive also had days where id eat like normal, like at the end of the day its a mental disorder that manifests differently in everyone. sure, there will be some similarities across cases but most develop their own little quirks and stipulations.
i do get what you mean about food being on ur mind 24/7, but in a weird-ish way? but for the most part ive been able to relate to some of her struggles or more so the constant mental battle that comes with having a eating disorder.
