Maybe the ML got held back? So technically older? But unless it's that, yeah a bit of a plot hole
the author already gave us a clue in ch 2 that they went to the same school. As for why the boss calls MC “kid,” it might just be a nickname for rookies, but I’m not sure either.
He ML calls the MC kid . Treats him like kid n suddenly flask back- they were class mate they are the same age!! It so confusing. It’s like the author din think of the plot before starting the story. It stared like the ml was somewhat older guy who is protective of the younger mc. did the Mc had some kind of accident he got amnesia? If not how can someone just not recognize your frIend from highscgool. And how is they be going whole night right after getting discharged from the hospital. ML got a freaking stab injury with so sign of any wound whatsoever
