Not to be that guy, but if the holy water is basically equivalent to modern day alcohol + date rape drug, it’s certainly not wholly consensual like you’re saying. Even though he wasn’t the one that gave it to her.
Remember that if one person has severely impaired function, whether it be through alcohol, weed, drugs, etc. it’s not consensual. (Even if you’re dating). People with impaired function cannot consent
Ofc it’s fiction so we know Tilia probably is immune to the effects of this, but that’s lowkey a dangerous message to spread so I figured I’d say something
It was still consensual because Tilia was still conscious when she asked him. He was only to trick her into drinking the antidote for the holy water but again she insisted. She was not complete not aware of her surroundings when she still was able to choose. She was not physically or mentally impaired like you're making her out to be. She did that because if she wouldn't have sex she would miss the exam, she knows she could have rode it out in her dorm or somewhere else but there was something at stake. She didn't even know there was an antidote only that it heightens arousal. She didn't know the duration so she can't risk her future. She was obviously somewhat in control of her situation. I read the novel and pretty much it didn't even bother her because she just want to get the fuck out.
Wait you are absolutely right. But i'd advise you to read the novel, it gives more details and more insight than the manhwa. I read the novel when this story was just starting and i tell you, she did actually consent. In the novel, her mind was still very sharp but she could not have herself going into the exam hall feeling that way cuz that would make her lose focus. Plus she refused the antidote cuz of the time and they had sex because that was faster for her.
Right after they had sex, she yeeted herself outta that room cuz her goal was to get herself to calm down in the fastest way possible.
Also she came and begged uhm (forgotten ml name) he refuse quite a bit before agreeing because if he didnt, all the guys in school would see her and help her but mock her quite more. She was very much conscious of her decisions in that moment. She is not impaired in the moment like you are making her out to be.
Gurl nvm i found it. I went to check my previous discussions with ppl cuz i remember giving the link to sum1 else too

yeah I get what you’re saying, but dizziness, blurriness, overheating, head hurting, feeling like you absolutely need something, doing things you wouldn’t normally do, and being surprised by your own thoughts/actions are all contributors/side effects to cognitive impairment.
People that are too drunk/high are able to make decisions, but they’re (legally, in my country) unable to give consent bc alcohol/drugs impacts the part of your brain associated with decision making. And it seems like that’s what’s happening here. At least in the comic version.
You’re right about it not being a big deal in this comic since that was clearly not the author’s intent, but IRL it’s nonconsensual.
Okay that’s good to hear actually. You’re right I was simply judging off the manhwa alone lol. But the only reason I said something was bcs I don’t want people to be misinformed about what consent is IRL and make some regrettable mistakes. Esp since the comic is what most people are reacting to first and she very much seems impaired here. Yeah but thank you for the insight
You didn't understand my point. She has the option to not go with the actions that she did if there was nothing at stake. I don't think you read my entire comment and this is coming from someone who got SA'd sober and not sober so I know what it feels like. She has the option to not go with it and ride it out but she wants to get rid of it because she has an exam and she didn't know when it will last. That's the main thing you did not get in my point. She has the option to walk away. I didn't have that kind of option when I was not sober because I can't actually fucking walk nor did I have the strength to do so. I specifically said in my previous comment especially near the end that she wanted to get it over with. So kind of weird for you to lecture me the semantics of consensual and nonconsensual like the law is somehow different in my country.
I’m very sorry that happened to you.
In this situation, she’s drugged to crave sex, and we know her judgement is impaired enough to where she can make decisions, but she can’t fully consent. I’m not interested in arguing with you- it’s okay that you have a different opinion. I just encourage everyone to think deeper about these subjects and research on their own so we can prevent these types of things from happening in the real world. Every woman I know including me has had to suffer from the effects of nonconsensual sexual acts where they feel violated, but no one is solely at fault in the situation because people aren’t educated enough on consent
Once again, she knows what is happening to her. She has the option to ride it out. Do you know what ride it out means? To not engage with other people and stay in one place and let it pass. She CHOSE to have sex because she doesn't want it to be an obstacle for her taking the exam. She is still conscious to make a decision for herself. I've read the novel and literally she wanted to have sex because she doesn't know the duration and it feels bothersome to just ride it out especially while having a roommate. Whether here or in the novel both were done with her conscious decision to go with it because it's much more convenient to her. Key word, convenient. You know how it feels like then you should know how important it is and how empowering it is to have a choice or to actually have an option to walk away when she did. The fact that she had another option given to her by the male lead once again and she then insisted. Do you know what's on her mind that time? She's gonna use him and not even sexually but for her convenience. We should stop reducing women to victims when it's most evident that they have the option and is still make a conscious decision. Her heightened arousal doesn't make her suddenly become dumb. She didn't take a date rape drug. I am insisting on this because I actually know the difference between me and her because I didn't get the choice that she did.
I agree that choice is important. I disagree that being given a choice makes it completely consensual, especially when the other choice could have drastic consequences. Like her missing/failing the exam and being beat by her dad or being held back a grade. We could also tell in the manhwa that she had persistent drug induced sexual thoughts and feverish symptoms. She even argues with herself a couple times to resist the urges. She’s not dumb, but her decision making process is affected by the drug- not completely broken. It’s possible it’s different in the novel like you said, but the initial comment was talking about the manhwa only so that’s what I addressed.
Listen, im not claiming that it was rape or better/worse than other situations. Your experiences are valid and there are clear differences. All I’m saying is that this wasn’t perfectly consensual sex like the og commenter claimed. I’m not saying this makes her a helpless victim either. There’s def a grey area when it comes to consent

I was quite sceptical about reading this because some readers were saying that he raped her. But after reading it, I just feel like whoever said that has absolutely no comprehension skills. Maybe learn to differentiate between actual rape and consensual sex.
