I believe he’s actually been subtly bullying yuwon all this time but since mc is an unreliable narrator we see him as a good guy who looks like he really cares about him
i think he was bullying and talking about yuwon behind his back, but yuwon ignored it in favor of keeping his peace. it makes me think of that scene where he gets a job and their employer touched him. maybe yuwon thought that it was better to ignore it as long as he could have a friend. maybe he thought that nobody would want to be his friends in normal circumstances anyway idk lol
Yeah he was one of those snake friends who behave good in front of you but they bitch about you in back or laugh at you with others
