Yeah, I agree. I felt that their making up was unsatisfactory, in many ways. It was way too short and without proper communication. They just fucked, the mc said sorry for simply one of the miscommunications (cause there was more) and it was treated like the ml had no fault in it and boom, done. Also, I guess this last part with the other guy is more for comedy effect, cause he poses almost no threat to them. That's why they just picked him off the street

A lot of BLs have poor communication and it's resolved like they actually laid everything out and discussed it. This series is kinda gaslighting the MC into thinking that he was just being jealous and insecure, which is so weird--and not to put too fine a point on this, but HE'S A VAMPIRE. IDK why they'd wanna root his insecurity in previous failed romantic relationships. I think they could've focused more on his vampire status being something that worried him; he said himself a couple times that he was worried ML only liked him because he was a vampire--even though him being a vampire isn't really a big part of the story aside from a couple bites.

Shi I almost forgot that vampire thingy, but that's a totally valid point. For a supposedly vampire story, we get very few concerns or daily life issues about it. The mc might as well be a human, and for someone who made it a big deal being found out, we don't see him actually have any problems about his identity in his daily life. They're also all so nonchalant about it. （￣へ￣）

Looool, exactly what I mean! I think the author wanted a "domestic vampire" story so it didn't have a lot of stress--it's mentioned vampires are protected and hidden by the govenment--but just reducing it to "guy with sharp teeth who needs blood every now and then" is kinda boring. It could definitely work as a regular story, especially since this would erase the ML accidentally alerting his teacher that MC is a vampire. I wish we got to know more about the worldbuilding; I have the same issue with "A Lovely Meal" (no spoilers if you haven't read it).

IDK why they needed to add secrets and insecurity to this--heck, even a random minor character coming in to try and put a wedge between them was weak (why they're even grabbing him is a mystery to me since they could just ignore him or shut him down). I'd be fine if this was just a fluffy story about a shy guy and an outgoing guy.

Omg thx for not spoiling, that manwha is actually on my "want to read" list, tho I haven't gotten around to it yet. And honestly, I also wouldn't mind if they were both "normal", but I do like the vampire element in it, and I like him needing blood and all that. It's just a shame it wasn't executed a bit better. I guess it's what u said, a "domestic vampire story", but even then, had this been a bit more serious with the vampire things, and had a better drama to drive the plot forward, other than stupid and needless miscommunication, it would've been wayyy better. Like, i don't think a very serious drama would fit this manwha, but at least something better other than the ml hiding things ON PURPOSE from the mc. Like??? Acting like a shitty sus boyfriend, smh.

Side note, I kinda feel like the ml is a bit...dumb? Idk, maybe not dumb, but like, he's not taking the whole vampire thing seriously. Like, if I was the mc, I'd feel soooo fucking pissed that he told someone else my super important secret. Also, the fact that the teacher turned out to be the ml's father was so lame, imo. And, if he's own son was a vampire, I don't see the point of him being so obsessed with vampires. ALSO, we still need to close the plot of the whole "saviour" vampire thing (tho it's probably the ml, which is boring). ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Have fun with that one. Season 2 recently started, and I'm cautiously reading along despite my reservations.

Yeah, I love reading fantasy stories, but 9/10, the BL kinda just uses a cool plot as a backdrop. I'm not saying it needs to be heavy here, but vampires are said to have super strength, hypnotize, be able to not go out in the sun, but MC doesn't have that. It's very easy to forget he's a vampire. I do wish we had more action, more story besides "regular guys dating," because you need a REALLY strong couple for that, and I can't jump onboard with loose-lips ML and self-gaslighting MC.

Yeah, ML is probably dumb. I call it the puppy-dog trope when a top is derpy, allowing the author to make them do almost anything and it gets excuses because "UwU he's so cute and silly!" I hate it so much. And it's weird because I thought he was a nerd, but I guess that's only at school. The vampire thing is annoying because it's essentially normalized; they're more like an urban legend or something rather than mythical beings at this point. The whole "government protects us" gives potential for good stories, but it's just used to explain why MC is able to live normally rather than as a regular vampire. But yeah, ML treats him like a superhero or something.

Then there's MC's dad. I THINK the vampire obsession is like ancestry stuff, trying to find out more about your heritage if you come from a long line of vampires rather than just being turned yourself, so that's fine, but they need to mention that. Or is it just MC who's a vampire? Maybe his dad just wants to learn more about them. But MC and his dad aren't close--I don't think his dad was mentioned beforehand, so it's weird, like the author just wanted to surprise the audience with no payoff. Aside from a random reveal that doesn't really do anything (aside from make me mad because he tells MC to forgive ML for sharing the secret), I'd be more forgiving of ML if he could actually keep a secret. MC's dad figured it out, and ML didn't deny it; he just said "Please don't tell anyone." Plus he didn't tell MC, and even now MC feels bad for being suspicious of ML. And WHY did the author write in the whole "teacher is secretly a sugar daddy" rumor if it wasn't gonna go anywhere? It just exists vaguely to spread rumors of why ML hangs out with the teacher. Honestly, that would be interesting if the teacher was trying to come between them, being obsessed with vampires like ML but unlike ML doesn't see MC as more than that. Let MC's dad just be a cool regular guy and the random guy coming between them to not be involved.
