The thing is no one forced her to make Love is an illusion so long. I think she fell into her own trap. She saw LIAI became so successful and felt pressured to continue it but she shouldn't have. I remember when she first said Byul might have his own story at that time most people were sceptical about it. No one actually expected it (maybe 1-5 chps as side story max) But she decided to expand the universe and ultimately lost interest in these characters. That's why it feels so different. It doesn't feel like the character we know. This story felt hollow in my opinion like she just wanted to get it over with asap and never look at it. While she could've just ignored the people and never made or made it years later after break
Tbh I think the author intended to write a better story but it fell apart after the hiatus.
And continuing or ending a series is sometimes not a decision the author alone can make. The trashy publishers push the authors to milk popular stories.
So blaming the author alone while multiple factors are playing seems unfair
Maybe she did feel pressured into it, but I do think that the story had a lot of potential at first. It showed the characters we know become more mature as they take on parenthood and how Byul’s personality developed. I do agree that the story fell off in the end and that there are so many plot holes, but that doesn’t warrant hate comments and ppl literally insulting the author.
Her losing her loved one came in the middle of her making this story, not before she made it. It was unexpected. She likely did feel pressured to continue the story even as she lost motivation and I don’t rlly see that as a reason to hate. People would have been even more upset if she didn’t continue the story after her hiatus.
Either way, as I’ve said before, being upset with a story turning out bad and commenting on it is fine. Not ppl commenting just to shit on the author.

i’m surprised about all the hate comments. i get being upset that a lot of the plot points weren’t actually expanded but she likely ended the story bc she lost motivation in it. not bc of the story itself but bc of what happened in her life.
She went on hiatus a while ago bc she lost an extremely important loved one in her life. She also said in her epilogue that she was always worried about a hiatus beforehand so she kept a bunch of content in case anything happens, which something did happen.
I get it being upset that a story didn’t end well but ffs have some more empathy for the author. Don’t just spew a bunch of hate comments. ppl rlly just see a hiatus notice, get slightly annoyed that there wasn’t a new chapter, completely forget about the reason why they went on hiatus, and then get mad that said reason affects the author in their personal life even after the hiatus is over.
