This was a beautifully written bittersweet story that blended reality and fantasy in such a heartwarming way. Reading the scenes of war, the real-world events woven into the story and the parallels to our current reality made me quite emotional and gave me a lot to think about. As for the main characters and their relationship there wasn’t anything particularly unique about their dynamic it's something we have seen before with them having a rocky start thanks to misunderstandings but they were both well-written and felt human. I grew to appreciate and accept them with all their imperfections by the end because those flaws were ultimately what made them feel so real and relatable.
