i tried to have some empathy for mom but i feel like she is taking her frustrations for what she views as a failed life out on her child who she views as the source of that failure. when it could be a lovely life with your lovely child except you cant even see him or ever get to know him bc you look at him and can only see what you think “should” have been. and he can’t do anything except carry that weight of loss and loneliness and disappointment with him whenever he goes, even though its YOUR feelings you unfairly put onto him instead of your bum ass ex husband. hate to see it.
