I really enjoyed this. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows and that was ok. I actually liked the ending. It felt like Ilic was in a place of acceptance with his own feelings. He came into the relationship unwillingly and he didn't lose that recognition but he also acknowledged that he did care for Sayan in his own way. Sayan never expected Ilic to say he loved him, though I'm sure he'd want that, so their relationship had a low bar, that was raised every so often by small acts both appreciated.
