does anyone have any reccs similar to this? i love how long and impactful the story line is, the only thing i can really think is similar is maybe Ao no Flag?

I think Faded First Love is a bit similar.
You made me read Ao no Flag, btw, so thanks! It was really good, wouldn't call it all that similar though. But I'd say Faded First Love is about as similar to this as Ao no Flag. Bit more Shoujo-y I guess
