Their relationship is especially heartbreaking because they are both so bad at communicating. So much of their pain and misunderstandings came from the things they couldn’t say to each other. Their relationship slowly fell apart whenever they stopped communicating, and when they finally did open up, it was often heartbreaking to see how much they had both been suffering unnecessarily.
They loved each other deeply, yet their inability to express their feelings caused them so much pain. That’s what makes their relationship feel so complicated and emotional—they weren’t suffering because they didn’t care, but because they cared so much and didn’t know how to communicate it.
