Haha I have a soft spot for Youngjo. But that’s for another discussion. Yes, I’m telling you. Garam’s family is a very traditional, business family and really not a big fan of his career choice. Yet he is rebellious enough to separate himself from his family to pursue his dream (albeit big part of its success due to the professor) but nonetheless, being a pianist is his flight to fight situation. He doesn’t have safety net to fall back like Naen if his dreams fails like he is not here to play!!! I think the whole arc of him playing his own interpretation of Rachmaninoff is enough to prove his dedication for growth and fight from Heejae’s grasp.
Eva case is really funny because she said that but she stays for Heejaa thou, long enough to see the development & change in Heejae. I don’t think she realises they are actually quite alike. I understand it’s also because Heejae is her employer but she still cares, as much as Garam and her fondness for Heejae music as well. Sorry it’s so stupid but funny in my head because I feel like Eva would be like “You bitch ass got to play your favourite music and being paid while I don’t even like the money and the job that much and I’m still here like grow a ball or something” . That or you are correct, she’s afraid of losing her back up mood stabilizers. Heejae would def lose his shit if Garam left him for another man haha.

Oh btw, Eva, my son is not growing colder. He has always been cold. People don’t see what Heejae & Garam has in common that both of them has very low tolerance to nonsensical bullshit. He stood up to himself with Naeun, with the bodyguard. He didn't bother to listen to Youngjo’s explanation/ apology. He even decided to walked away if the professor wasn’t being truthful to his feeling in the Kruger act. He has a very clear boundary for himself and others as well. He’s willing to understand but he won’t put up when you behave like this. Honestly, his relationship with Compton progresses to where it is now because he is being himself, had he been another like the orchestra member or Heejae, he wouldn’t get the same amount of respect & acknowledgment from everyone else.
