Grayson found out Dane is not only omega but a special dominant omega, which is highly sought to breed children for alpha from rich families. Dane is not just embarassed, he is concerned what Grayson will do with that info and is expecting the worst, so he makes the first move. Dominant alpha doesnt have the best reputation in how they handle omega and Dane also saw Grayson pouring pheromone on the twin in the party. A lot of Dane's actions come from his prejudice against dom alpha, which is not exactly fair to Grayson but they are his way to protect himself

He doesn't believe Grayson's persistence is simply about being with a soulmate; to him, it could mean being sold and becoming a slave for life—raped and forced to bear children for various alpha fathers. So, he’s not exactly a saint, but he has reasons for acting the way he does. And don't worry about Grayson. The alphas in this universe are practically superhuman, possessing immense physical resilience and healing abilities—even drugs have no effect on them (and Grayson is even more resilient than other alphas, as you'll see later)—so that fall off the cliff is nothing to him.

Just to wrap things up: later on, we realize that this kidnapping, in a way, "saved" Grayson from something else that would have happened on the way to that birthday party. You really do feel sorry about the trap set for him—since he was genuinely happy to have been invited—but it actually ended up helping Grayson in two ways.

Nope in what way did it saved him? Ezra still has no any ulterior motive to Greyson at this point of the story. His wife ISN’T SICK YET so what motive would he have to hurt or kidnapped Greyson. The motive start when they found out his wife is sick and in need of a lot of money to cover for the medications and treatments. The cult used that fact to brainwash Ezra to kidnapping Greyson. Don’t delusion yourself and try to gloss over Dane’s kidnapping of Greyson and ruining the fun of getting invited to a birthday party of the child of his co-worker.

He even went out of his way to buy a gift. That gift later will ask by Dane. Because the kidnappers only gave Ezra like small amount of money for getting Greyson come to them but the necklace costs like hundred thousand dollars and Ezra was like only needed 2,000 dollars if I’m not mistaken. Dane was like if you are really in need of money why didn’t you sell the necklace on the teddy bear? Ezra honestly thought it really just cost 49 dollars. So he cried.

Dane's mom is an omega who was raped in her heat by alphas, who later claimed in front of court that they were only acting under her pheromone influence and got awat scott free. She was then pregnant with Dane and was abandoned by her religious family. During Dane's childhood she became alcoholic, hurting him and cursed herself for being an omega when drunk and apologized to him when sober again and again. She almost tried to kill Dane and herself after he manifested as an omega later, thinking that was the only way for them to have peace but later just comitted suicide. After that Dane was traumatized, become extremely sensitive about his omega gender and super prejudice towards all alpha.

So many people jumps to conclusion for every single characters (Grayson, Dane, Grayson's father) before any hint of reason why they did it was unveiled that we are so sick of this already. I read all Zig’s novel and I don’t agree with you Lol. What does it have anything to do with Dane being an A-hole and kidnapping Greyson just because he said he’s an Omega? If you really read the novel then you would also know that Dane openly admits to that fact sometimes when women he slept with comes to him pregnant and he was like “I’m an omega so I can’t be your baby daddy. I shoot blanks” Also why not disclosed the fact that he Graped Greyson TWICE! Did you just forget it? I mean we are not far from that scene now.
