my poor baby most readers like when the tough-as-nails, badass, stoic, mr. macho man~ kinda guy actually cries! but they always cry over something related to the main love interest. the whole "this love is so deep it brought even a man like that to tears!" this is the first time for me where the character shed tears over something unrelated to the main relationship. I like it tho…it emphasizes the impact & severity of the trauma. also makes the scenario more realistic….one doesn’t have to go through that themselves to know even the mightiest man alive would probably cry over that
