Yeah, I can't get into stories like that, tbh. I had to pause at Ch 3 because it's even worse; after ML ADMITS to starting rumors to emotionally isolate MC, he dispels the rumors and just when MC thinks everything is okay, ML still shows his ugly side.
It's even worse that his coworkers are relying on someone else's testimony. They didn't get to know MC; they just listened to ML's rumors, similar to listening to ML saying those rumors are false--plus it's confusing because staff actually SAID that they heard the rumors from ML, but no one connects the dots that he may have started them.
I usually love my messed up, fucked up stories... buuut
I am just on chapter 2 and, after a seemingly ok ch 1, that turn was quite...vomitive.
MC's social anxiety on the first chapter is one of the best portrayals out there tbh, and what ML did was so fucking gross that it did take me out of the reading experience because of how u r supposed to be turned on by this new facet of his.
Anywaaaays Ch 3 does something to "fix" that. And it is like oh everything is actually fine and im exaggerating.
But it did remind me how this is actually goon material, with beautiful art, another commercial BL that can be good but also has to sell to an audience, aaaand what is better than a yandere ML right? ╮(￣▽￣)╭ welp time to turn off the neurons and activate the dih
