I’m afraid to say that for now, I think he only contemplates or shreds a thought of others based on how little or less Garam thinks of them? Does that make any sense? I know it’s terrible out there but that man has a very classic case of amnesia (abuser never remembers their wrong doings) and his philosophy of navigating in life is to never look back at the past and keep music as your central point. I just think he presumes Compton has moving on by now, indicating by he is a very successful conductor. He maybe feel a tiny bit of pity/ acceptance during that incident but as the years go by, it’s not a top of his concern anymore. He looks back and just treat it as part of the process of refining gems T_T
It actually made perfect sense! Anyway after 205, do you think Heejae will completely become ‘human’? I feel like there’ll be attempts, but it’s definitely not going to be a 180°, and Garam will be okay with that. It’s hard to change when being THAT has basically been your default setting for almost half a century.

If Im not mistaken, didnt Heejae dream of that moment where he stabbed Compton in the rain and scarred him for life in chapter 151 (maybe)? I wonder if he felt even a tiny bit bad about it, or if he just sees that memory as a hassle.
