Does anyone have any recs where the trope is the mc died, was near death, or death is faked and they restart their life somewhere else and actually enjoy having a break but something happens to their main gang/group that forces them back into their life?
Bonus if the mc was really scary and ruthless before and transforms into soft pudding in the new life.
