it's probably because yeon can't be honest with himself either he just wants yeomin to spend some time with him now that yeomin doesn't need to work on a lot of part time jobs, so yeon said yeomin should just focused on he's study even that didn't work so i think that's how yeon get the idea of giving the scholarship to yeomin

Yeomin and his pride might be what really twists their dynamic.
We dont really see sugar babies not wanting to be sugar babies in manwha these days.. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ though I do think Mr. Yeon went too far in enforcing the dynamic - the scholarship was a bit much...
