it's probably because yeon can't be honest with himself either he just wants yeomin to spend some time with him now that yeomin doesn't need to work on a lot of part time jobs, so yeon said yeomin should just focused on he's study even that didn't work so i think that's how yeon get the idea of giving the scholarship to yeomin
