Honestly, this series gave me a bit of mixed feelings at first given that it seemed to be going down the "even though the omega is strong and cool, he still needs to be protected by the alpha" reinforcement and the fact that the omega is very reckless with his situation because he's worried of discrimination (valid), but I do wish we had more expansion; the alpha he doesn't get along with isn't shown to be as patronizing or grating as the omega mentioned him being, so it was kinda hard to buy why he didn't like him; and the quick romance. I don't want a slowburn, but I was kinda surprised by a love confession, given that an omega in heat would obviously feel drawn to people and thus an alpha with a crush probably shouldn't mention his crush right then.
But overall, I do like the exploration of the omegaverse unfair treatment of omegas--it boggles me how omegas only account for 10% of the population but they're at the bottom of society; I guess it doesn't really make a difference except for pheromones and female alphas/male omegas. But the PLOT TWIST. I was JUST about to say I kinda liked the doctor more than the ML because of his relationship with the MC. Maybe the author anticipated this and thus made him the villain? Such a shame; I like a dynamic like this. The twist wasn't even necessary--I mean yes, it helps remind us of the gender inequality, but it's so random. I was legit hoping the doctor was a fellow omega.
*And side note: for the THIRD TIME, the whole "same-sex couple" conversation shouldn't even be brought up, since in a world where men can get pregnant and women can impregnate, stigma against same-sex couples would never be discriminated against--at least to the degree of IRL.
