Well, people are going to have some kind of emotional reaction regardless if it's negative or positive. The issue is when they feel entitled to change your opinion because they genuinely think their own opinion is the right one. Kindly fuck off and go have your own opinion elsewhere, thank you.

Fr, people just be feeling entitled these days, even over other people's lives and opinions. I remember making a comment about a character that most of the fandom hated, and I gave genuinely valid reasons for why I felt that way. The next response was a whole-ass diagnosis of me. They were saying I must've been an abused child, that I was suffering from marital abuse, that I needed to seek help, and that I should report my parents and my husband.
And I'm sitting there like, bitch, my single ass has never even been in a relationship since the day I was born! You don't know a damn thing about me or my family, yet you're diagnosing my entire life because we have different opinions about a fictional story.
People really need to learn that disagreeing with someone's opinion about a fictional character doesn't give you permission to invent an entire backstory for their life
