they want them to get straight to fucking right away because that's how their “favorite, highest-rated yaoi” always goes, which is basically a completely ass, meh-let's go fucking in every chapters despite having a lot of mess to fix-plot
Look I actually don't want them to go the fucking right away track, that trope sucks. It's clear that the author is building it up and next chapter will reveal how we got to this point. That's what storytelling is, yeah. However what is anticlimactic is how light-hearted this chapter suddenly got. It's anticlimactic exactly because of the author's storytelling so far. They may be trying to take a different approach for S2, but it's kind of a miss. There's plenty of stories out there balancing dark concepts along with contrasting ideas, comedy, romance etc. This chapter was just not it. It's too soon to say whether it's the transition point for the story to take a lighter direction, and even if it is, then it was very sudden.
Can't people have opinions about a story? I feel like a lot of comments are attacking people who think this chapter has been a bit of a letdown without reason. I love this as much as the next person. I don't even mind the slow updates. Once again saying that only people with actual reading comprehension should read this series.
