He is mentally unstable, let's give him more time
Didn't he confess and apologize to Nanjo about everything he did?
Yeah, he apologized, but the whole arc still feels like it’s mainly showing how much Mok is suffering without Nanjo. There’s barely any internal dialogue or flashbacks showing genuine regret for what he did to Nanjo, it’s mostly focused on his own pain and suffering. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Mok hater. I actually love him, and I’m not even a Nanjo fan. This is just my personal take on how his redemption arc is being handled.
Mok is getting more and more pathetic. This redemption arc is dragging on for too long, especially since he still hasn’t realized what he did wrong to Nanjo. He’s being incredibly selfish, even wanting to hurt or kill himself just to make Nanjo regret leaving him. I don’t see any real progress until Mok finally acknowledges his own mistakes.
