That’s what I’ve been saying. I love stories like this precisely because it doesn’t pretend a Prince Charming is needed for me to enjoy it or like love is something that can only be given to the pure of heart and the innocent. The last time I enjoyed stories where people kept whining about MLs were when I read “Conquer my Heart” and “The Broken Ring.” Cesar showed up right when I was getting tired of endless puppy dog ML and needed something different. Reading these types of stories with modern day lenses is a sure way to stop a person from appreciating the universe and time it’s set in.
Pffff I know everyone's angry with the ML but compared to other historical stories it's so good! It deserves a 9.4 at least. I think people who read happy cute historical manhwas probably shouldn't read this one. And the tags aren't correct either. It's not really shoujo; if anything it's closer to josei.
