His obsession is actually scary, meaning the author did a great job portraying MC's mental state. I cannot see them ending together, regardless if help is given or not due to his current mindset and behavior. It is also a weird place to rekindle the relationship. I do wish we could see a "smaller" MC since he's lost a lot, but idk if they artist will go THAT far.
I'd be good if they both went their separate ways and met in the future with brand new lives and a possible friend in bloom.
