Well, technically this does happen at some point in the novel (bottom self harming or becoming dependent/top becoming nicer and actually caring for him in his own sick way) but it's not like the way you think it will go. This happens a lot later in the novel if im remembering correctly. Honestly I feel like this is the kind of story where you can't even really feel bad for anyone... yeah it's messed up but every single character including the bottom are pieces of shit.
In reality, he doesn't treat Jiwook "kindly," but rather treats him the same way he did during sex. He also tries to get treatment.
Yeah he's a real pos, but he truly does treat him a lot better in the side chapters rather then now. He no longer wants revenge or wtv, I forgot to put "kind of" in my original comment.

To me, he doesn't even care; he's only doing this for, I don't know, parallel storylines. Nothing has changed in the parallel storylines; it's still the same thing, and their relationship becomes kind of strange.
I hate them too, in my opinion they should have died already.
Yeah I felt so uneasy with their relationship in the novel. To co dependent, power difference, the toxicity and the smut felt gross to me. The bot fiening for attention and doing messed up stuff while the top jusy laughs in his face. It made my stomach turn, I haven't read it since last year but I vividly remember seeing grossed out by it all.
And doesnt the top make him do something to a dog? eeeyuck
Their relationship is very annoying, yes, it's very toxic, and Jiwook also becomes sadistic. I only discovered this novel this year; I read it this year and it's awful. I didn't like that lame ending.
Sorry, but I didn't even finish reading that part, I discarded it. I heard it's disgusting, I heard they adapted it.

I want to see him attempt or self harm because I want the top to see just how far the bottom has fallen, just how badly hes messed up and ruined him.
I want it to play out like this.
The top ends up getting obsessed, in love even with the bottom he treats him a bit nicer but the bottom is still cautious, one night, the bottom mentions wanting to go outside and have a drink with friends like he used to which sets off the top.
The top began to beat and rape the bottom as per usual, but this time its worse, by morning, the bottom has a broken arm and ankle, the top realizes just how badly he screwed up ans tries to get him gifts and allows him to open a window or two.
But the bottom is completely ruined, not talking flinching and insatiable heat in his lower regions even tho he doesn't want that feeling, so?
He begins thinking about sucide and starts cutting him self, and im not talking cat scratches i mean deep cut all down the thighs and arms, and in the midst of carving himself up the top comes home amd sees the blood, the knife in his hand, the disgustingly deep gashes all on the bottoms thighs amd arms and breaks down and tries to stop him, to which the bottom holds the knife to the vein on his arm threatening sucide.
The top begs him to stop, which works somehow.
He cradles the bottom in his arms apologizing over and over to which the bottom just sits quietly listening, but everything goes in one ear and out the other he doesn't care about the top nor himself, he just wants to be free from this life and all the misery
