So is this like catholic church if it's leaders are corrupted?

many religious leaders are unfortunately corrupted. not to say all or majority, but the corrupted church members u see here r good examples of the ones irl

but anw I'm asking about the story. I wanna know if the story revolves around that, the institutions, corrupted religious leaders etc.

Its mainly politics. Church vs houses, a little corruption and romance in the mix. And a dubious god honestly. Well intended but dubious.
