ehhh i think it's pretty reasonable to still be a bit suspicious. some ppl have come across other characters similar to ml so they're still wary or they just don't wanna be disappointed when ml isn't actually what we hoped him to be so they keep their expectations low until we get hard confirmation so the disappointment won't hit as hard (me personally).
while almost everyone in the comments are like "I don't trust him", "he's a playboy" ,
I'm like just read this chapter properly he sure was not acting that part he was being real
