I like that they set up the 2nd ML actually being an asshole instead of this big reveal. The folks at the literati club did call her naive, which is true to her character. I noticed that Esdra had nothing to say to back her up when she was arguing about Grimora, and the Carnivale!!! Ppl were literally just existing and having fun and bro is clutching his pearls!
