uff. Lowkey, has anybody noticed how many new BLs are starting with a smut scene right out the get go? I remember this was pretty shocking to begin with (mostly mangas and the first wave of BL manwhas) but I guess some authors have noticed how it hooked the audience and they started the trend to do that to their own artworks. Like :/ I mean, is the BL world only smut? Pls no. A cool ass story with nice characters and romance all nicely packed is where you find peak BL.

exactly!! and i literally like and read BL with smut too, but i hate when people boil the genre down to just smut. frankly i feel like BL without smut rarely gets popular these days so it’s really frustrating to see people hate on a lovely meal for such a non-issue

genuinely if this story isn’t for you that’s fine, but ms. suma already confirmed that s2 will only be r15. who knows if she’ll make future seasons or if they’ll even be r19. but you guys are acting entitled as hell, as if she has to write smut for her story to be good? not every romance has to begin with the characters fucking each other.
and for people who don’t even pay for her work… if you dislike it then just stop reading. there’s countless other BL manga and manhwa out there with plenty of smut.
again, i’m not even saying you can’t criticize it, but at a certain point you need to just read other things instead of imposing your personal tastes onto creators.
