I’ve let the webtoon build up more to finally see the chapters about Riftan finding out about the abuse, and I am pretty disappointed with how they represented it. In the novel it was ten times more intense, and the moment Ruth saw Maxi, Riftan was already to his way to her, rushing to coddle her, totally panicked. That is why he told him not to touch her, because he already got her and wanted to comfort her first. And I dislike how they kinda depicted his demeanor after that as some kind of jealously, him not wanting her to see the knights and especially Ruth, that wasn’t his sentiments at that moment. But that is the issue with adaptation I guess
