Literally the more I read this, the more I understand the ending. Even her professor, her supposed fiance who claims he loves her, doesn't even try to protect her from people. No one is on her side. Tormented left and right, I'm actually shocked that she doesn't just disappear into her adventurer alter-ego and leaves the kingdom in secrets and shadows.
