What I hate is how the King acts. I mean, I'm sorry, but he was apparently 13-years-old. Even his younger brother gets that that's a child's mistake, even if it was a horrendous deed. With that, I don't actually want to make excuses, because wtf happened there, but you gotta admit that the fucking PARENTS should be held accountable just as much. You can't let your child completely roam free and then act as if he was a monster because he went astray.
How about raising your little shits, instead of ignoring the problem until it grows feet, huh?

*I wanna add that I did start reading the novel, but since I immediately noticed the novel to be better (small changes that make a difference), I couldn't decide what to read first and chose to wait until the Webtoon caught up to what I read in the novel to decide for the time being. In other words, I don't know that much, and I would have to read the novel from the start to see if there are any more details that were changed or left out. In other words, I have no clue what backstory the OG had.

I felt bad for adrian because it turned out he was really just a foolish, curious-filled child used by the greedy adults around him. Some of those special knights and some noble, even the king himself, once thought Adrian would be someone who'd carry the kingdom next, him and max (non verbatim). The empire and the greedy nobles thought they'd make a puppet out of the foolish child, drive a wedge between the royal family and steal the sword in one fell swoop. The traitorous noble was the one who found out the secret knights, the empire noble was the one who made the prince take the blame, the one who made adrian to be the kingdom's number one enemy. And as a foolish child who didn't know any better, just followed them around. And the king, who only knew of defeat despite his efforts, lost all reason to fight the day he lost those secret knights. So, yeah, Adrian was a pitiful child, the king is not good enough to lead his people.

So I really recommend reading the novel.

It's not surprising that that's what he was. I mean, I could have told you that any day of the week - until now, it hasn't been hinted that his body had been possessed (prior to being possessed by MC). In other words, that's the only way a thirteen-year-old will end up acting like that.
From that perspective, it already felt like shit when the King said some knights (and since we have not heard anything about any secret or special knights, I take it that the guys who had to "break their circles" back then are those secret knights you are referring to) were worth more than a thousand Adrians. This is your child. You had to protect and raise it. You fucked up. And now you pretend that he's worthless, while knowing absolutely nothing about him.
I don't even need to read the novel to know he sucks as a King. Dead DILF uncle all the way to win, man.

I guess I'll just keep reading the novel. I just can't stand reading a story as a novel and a Webtoon at the same time. It would be different had I read the novel ages ago already.

I'm halfway done in the novel, so I won't spoil more. The novel only has 350 chapters, so it will be a quick read. The spoilers I gave are based on my understanding of the story, so you might actually think differently while reading it (pls feel free to tell me if I misunderstood some parts if you read the novel). There's so much to think about in the novel, so it was a really fun read for me. Hope you enjoy reading it as well!

I will. I don't know how fast I can actually get to it, because I have some other stories to complete first, but I'll just read the novel and let the Webtoon marinate while I do.
